A new housing estate in Ebersheim (France) secured by solar lighting

27/01/2020

The new housing estate Appart Home in Ebersheim, in France, is now secured by Novéa Énergies solar streetlights. These solar streetlights illuminate the parking spaces reserved for residents and a pedestrian walkway. These lampposts were chosen for their innovative and ecological aspect, in line with this new residence.

Two COMBI TOP 3 equipped with a 160 Wp solar panel with TEKK S luminaire have been installed around this housing estate. The choice of the autonomous solar-powered unit was made naturally for its sustainable aspect. Indeed, this ecological solution limits the environmental impact by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil fuels and polluting energy. The other advantage is that, thanks to their 819 Wh battery and energy management system, these lampposts are completely autonomous, so they do not require any electrical subscription to an energy supplier.

These lampposts provide quality lighting to secure the pedestrian walkway and parking spaces. The autonomous streetlights operate with a dimming mode and presence detection throughout the night. Since traffic and passage are limited in the vicinity of this subdivision, it is not necessary to light at full power throughout the night. This is why these two streetlights are adjusted as needed by lighting at full power only when a user is detected. When no user is present, the 10% dimming mode provides zone marking. This lighting secures both the pedestrian path and the parking spaces and provides significant comfort for local residents.

A concrete block is all that is needed for anchoring to the ground. This energy independent lighting solution is simple to install and reduces the environmental impact while maintaining luminous comfort and night-time safety.
