THE TOWN OF CHÂTEAUNEUF LA FORÊT EQUIPS WITH STAND-ALONE LAMPS

21/01/2019
The city of Châteauneuf la Forêt, in Haute Vienne (87 – France), opted for NOVEA ENERGIES solar street lamps to secure the parking and the path to a tennis court, as well as the descent of the lake and the path of the beach.

Of the twelve solar units installed in the city, six are Combi Top 1 with a 25 Wp solar panel with TEKK S lighting and a 180 Wh battery. These sets are dedicated to the path of the beach. Regarding the other places mentioned above, this is a Combi Top 2 with a 100 Wp solar panel, a TEKK S luminaire and a 345 Wh battery that have been installed.

This autonomous street lighting provides quality lighting to ensure the comfort and safety of users. All of these street lights, located in low traffic areas, work with presence detection. They light up at 2% from dusk to dawn, and light up to 100% for 45 seconds when a presence is detected.

The installation of solar stand-alone streetlights has made it possible to avoid heavy civil engineering work (trenching, road rehabilitation) and setting up a network. A concrete block is sufficient for anchoring on the ground. The integration of this autonomous lighting solution into energy has therefore facilitated installation work and limited investment.

Public lighting powered by solar energy is also an ecological solution because it allows to limit the environmental impacts by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies. In addition, the operation of these candelabra does not involve any electric subscription to the energy supplier.
