Solar lighting secures a campsite in Aussois (France)

07/06/2019

The outdoor staircase of the Caravaneige La Buidonnière campsite in Aussois, in Savoie (73 – France), is lit by a solar autonomous lamppost. This lighting makes it possible to ensure the comfort and the safety of the users of the staircase.

Photo COMBI TOP 2 ROGNAC SOREA - Escalier extérieur - Camping Caravaneige La Buidonnière Aussois (73)This COMBI TOP 2 is equipped with a 100 Wp solar photovoltaic panel positioned at the top of the mast, and a battery (stored under the solar panel) of 532 Wh. The luminaire that equips this lamp, with a light height of 4 meters, is a copper Rognac 665 maintained by a stick SOREA 100. The color chosen for all this installation is the RAL 9005, dark black.

The lamppost ensures a light marking of the staircase during the night, thanks to a dimming mode at 10% of the full power lighting. During this lowering period, a presence detection device makes it possible to trigger lighting at full power as soon as a user is detected. Powerful lighting is also provided during the busiest hours, two hours after dusk and one hour before dawn.

Located at the top of the steps, the luminaire illuminates all the steps and ramps, to make safe the use of this staircase after dark and provide maximum comfort to users.

The choice of the autonomous has limited the installation work, because only a concrete block is sufficient for anchoring to the ground, unlike the network connection lighting that requires heavy work. The solar autonomous also has the advantage of being an alternative solution to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies, thus limiting the environmental impacts. The ecological aspect was also a highlight for this campsite located in the heart of nature, at the gates of the Vanoise National Park, on a vast plateau at 1500 m altitude with views of the surrounding mountains.

The Novéa Energies solar streetlights are equipped with batteries Endurance + technology, developed after 6 years of Research and development in partnership with the energy storage laboratory of C.E.A. (Commission of Atomic Energy) of Grenoble. Our Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries offer the longest life of the market (more than 22 years in the limit of an overall capacity loss of 20%), which means less component replacement, so less production and waste management and thus a limited impact on the environment.
