The passenger stop at Vivier, in Cheffes, in the department of Maine et Loire (France), is now equipped with a Novea Energies free-standing lamppost.\r\n\r\nThe lamppost installed is a COMBI TOP 2 equipped with a 100 Wp solar panel, a GRIFF S luminaire and a 532 Wh battery located in a box under the solar panel. The quality lighting it provides offer a significant level of comfort for shelter users, who can switch on the lighting at the touch of a button on the base of the pole.\r\n\r\nThe light provides a feeling of security for users waiting for public transport and makes the work of the bus driver easier, as he can see people at the bus stop more easily. Lighting here is a real road safety vector that allows users to be seen by motorists.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe lighting of this lamp post is triggered instantly by pressing a backlit piezo button located on the mast of the solar-powered lamp post, which is accessible to all. Each press of the Piezo button causes the light to run at full power for ten minutes, before switching off again. The lighting is programmed to be switched off from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am, a period during which the passenger shelter is not busy. During this time the button is inactive.\r\n\r\nThis installation is located in a rural and natural setting. In order not to cause any nuisance to the fauna and flora, the operating program has been strictly adapted to the needs of the passenger stop. Thanks to the Piezo button, the light only comes on when a user needs it, while waiting for transport.\r\n\r\nThe choice of the stand-alone system for this isolated bus stop made it possible to avoid heavy civil engineering work (trenching, track repair) and the installation of a network. In a traditional wired electrical solution, connection to the electrical network would have been costly. Only a concrete foundation is required for anchoring to the ground. The integration of this energy autonomous lighting solution therefore facilitated the installation work and limited the investment cost.\r\n\r\nPublic lighting powered by solar energy is also an ecological solution because it limits environmental impacts by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies.
