The first Novéa Energies solar street light in Hungary was installed, and it is a Combi Top 1

The city of Tatabánya, in north-western Hungary (between Györ and Budapest), is home to many sites of interest: forests, monuments but also pretty lakes. One of them, Síkvölgyi Horgásztavak, is run by the Síkvölgy Sport Fishing Association. And it is near this exceptional location, to light up the bus stop that serves it, that a Combi Top 1 from Novéa Energies has been installed. A first in Hungary.

The lake of Síkvölgyi Horgásztavak offers a magnificent setting for all fishing lovers. Its calm and wooded environment and its small shelters attract around a hundred of members to the association. To get there by public transport, a bus stop is available 200 metres away from the lakes. The service to this stop therefore needed to be secured. But the grid does not pass in this part of the city. Autonomous lighting appears to be the most appropriate for this project.

The traffic is quite moderate around this stop, with the bus representing the main traffic in this area. To optimise energy consumption and its impact on biodiversity, it is necessary to define a suitable lighting profile, which changes throughout the night. The suggested lighting scenario provides for 2 hours of full power after dusk, then motion detection the rest of the night with 10% on dimming mode, and again at full power for one hour, before dawn. For this purpose, a motion sensor must be placed on the luminaire.

The energy requirement would therefore be quite limited, making it possible to start on a more compact autonomous lighting set. It is therefore the entry-level model of Novéa, the Combi Top 1, which was chosen. With its 60 Wp panel and 428 Wh battery, it will effectively provide the required level of lighting. Its 3.5 m-height pole and unique luminaire give this solar lighting set a minimal encroachment, integrating fully into the landscape. Ideal for the Tatabánya bus stop.

The autonomous street lamp Combi Top 1 from Novéa Energies was installed at the beginning of July, to safely receive fishermen all over the year. This solar street light is the first in a series of installations, as two more Combi Top 1 will be installed in Budakeszi.
