Many activities are organised in summer at Port Maillard in La Daguenière. This town, located next to Angers, offers a riverside restaurant and a variety of activities to enjoy the banks of the Loire. Lighting then becomes essential to extend leisure time. But how do you combine lighting with a rural location near water? Novéa Energies suggested an autonomous lighting solution that was both efficient and personalised, adapting to the particularities of the place. With the return of fine weather comes the desire to relax by the water, with friends or family. Many ephemeral places then emerge, offering catering and entertainment. Port Maillard is one of those places, which come to life in the space of a few months, to live to the rhythm of the Loire river. Like any meeting place, lighting is part of the reflection around the layout of the place and its attractiveness. Various publics need security, especially since here the environment is preserved, with beaten earth accesses and lots of greenery. To provide efficient lighting during events, Novéa Energies suggested its autonomous lighting solution Combi Top 2, with a 120 Wp panel and a 532 Wh battery. The 5 solar poles also offer a St Luc 30 bracket with a Tekk S luminaire, placed at a height of 5 meters. The set is presented in grey RAL 2900 sandblasted, to serve users without obstructing the landscape. This place hosts many activities during the day but also in the evening. And once the entertainment is over, the place becomes peaceful again. To keep up with this rhythm, the autonomous street lights have been programmed to light continuously for 4 hours after dusk, then to stay on dimming mode and light up via motion detection the rest of the night. But the most important issue of this project was without a doubt the management of autonomous lighting set after the summer. Indeed, the banks of the Loire river are often submerged in winter, and public lighting is in any case much less necessary because the area is less frequented. To ensure optimum quality of the solar set over the long term, they were first raised via an external concrete foundations. Then, the batteries are removed before each winter, at the end of the day, in order to benefit from an optimal energy recharge of the battery and to avoid going too low in voltage during the months of non-use. Thanks to efficient and personalised autonomous public lighting solutions on the one hand, and to an adaptation of the products to the specificities of the place on the other hand, the Port Maillard allows its visitors to enjoy serenely the activities on the banks of the Loire river all summer long.
