SOLAR LAMPPOSTS LIGHTED SUBDIVISION IN SOLAIZE (69)

A new subdivision of Solaize, in the Rhône department (69), is lit by Novéa Énergies solar-powered street lights to ensure the comfort and safety of the users of this subdivision.

Different models of lampposts equip this subdivision. The first is a completely autonomous COMBI TOP 2 with a TEKK S luminaire, a 100 Wp solar panel and a 345 Wh battery for storing and managing the energy produced by solar panel. The second model is a MULTI TOP 3, namely a mast with solar panel and battery mast top, which feeds the TEKK S luminaire of the mast and another TEKK S luminaire in top of another mast. The MULTI TOP 3 is equipped with a photovoltaic panel of 160 Wc, a battery of 704 Wh to store and manage the energy generated by the solar panel.

All of these streetlights work in a reasoned way, to provide lighting if necessary. Indeed, all lampposts light up at 10% of their maximum power from dusk until dawn to ensure a markup and thus never leave the subdivision in total darkness. Thanks to a presence detector integrated into TEKK S luminaires, streetlights illuminate at full power as soon as a user needs them and is detected.

Adapting the lighting as needed and using the dimming allows not only to provide fair and reasoned lighting but also to extend the life of the components of the street lamps, such as the battery and luminaire, which are thus less solicited. The battery is equipped with Endurance + technology, developed by Novéa Énergies in partnership with CEA, which offers the longest life of the market thanks to LifePO4 Lithium cells and its unique management of energy flows. Our Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries offer the longest life of the market, (more than 22 years in the limit of an overall capacity loss of 20%), which means less component replacement, so less production and waste management and thus a limited environmental impact. TEKK S luminaires are designed in cast aluminum, which gives them robustness in order to last over time. The flat tempered glass protection makes it possible to limit the clogging and thus not to lose in quality of lighting.

The operation of these solar lighting does not involve any electric subscription to an energy supplier, because they work thanks to the solar energy developed by the power station for the MULTI system or by the solar panel on top of the mast for the COMBI TOP. This autonomous energy lighting solution is a clean and sustainable solution that reduces the environmental impact while maintaining luminous comfort and user safety.

The MULTI solar power plant system proposed by Novéa Énergies is an innovative and easy to implement solution, which allows the remote generation of energy to be offset from the luminous points. The solar energy is transmitted from the power station to the luminaires using a very low voltage network (24 Volts) which simplifies the civil works compared to the traditional wired lighting which requires a 220 V network. MULTI is particularly popular in areas where it is difficult to install standalone street lights due to the presence of trees or buildings, for example, that can interfere with solar gain. In addition, the fact that the source of energy production is shared on a single point brings an appreciated aesthetic.
