Atypical solar street lights in Clayes-sous-Bois (78)

05/04/2019

The city of Clayes-sous-Bois, in the department of Yvelines (78), opted for Novéa Énergies solar lamp posts combining tradition and modernity. The solar streetlights are equipped with the traditional Vence luminaire and a Tropezienne lacrosse produced by Ragni. An unusual alliance but promising!

COLBI TOP 5 Clayes sous boisA COMBI TOP 5 with a light height of six meters with a solar panel of 285 Wc, a double bracket luminaire and a battery capacity of 1 064 Wh and two COMBI TOP 3 with a panel solar panels of 160 Wp and a battery capacity of 532 Wh were installed in the streets of Clayes-sous-Bois. The colors chosen are the dark black RAL 9005 for the Vence luminaire and the 6009 pine green RAL for the mast.

These three standalone street lights provide quality lighting to ensure comfort and safety of use. Their mode of operation has been defined in order to enlighten in a fair and reasoned way. They are triggered in full power for one hour from dusk. During the rest of the night, streetlights go into dimming mode at 10% with presence detection. They then relight in full power from 6:00 am until dawn.

Unlike network-connected luminaires, the operation of these solar street lights does not involve any electrical subscription to an energy supplier and only a concrete block is sufficient for anchoring to the ground. This energy-autonomous lighting solution reduces environmental impact while maintaining luminous comfort. Indeed, this ecological solution makes it possible to limit the environmental impacts by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies.

The batteries of our Lithium Iron Phosphate luminaires offer very long life, unrivaled on the market today. Indeed, our Endurance + technology, resulting from 6 years of Research & Development in partnership with the energy storage laboratory of C.E.A. (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique) of Grenoble, allows a functioning of more than 22 years (in the limit of a loss of global capacity of 20%). Our solutions thus present the most interesting user cost of the market. The extension of the life of a battery limits the use of primary resources and greatly reduces the recycling stream.
