The stop for travelers of Courcelles-sur-Nied, in the department of Moselle (57), is now lit by an autonomous street light Novéa Énergies. The installed street lamp is a COMBI TOP 2 with a 100 Wp solar panel, a TEKK S luminaire and a 704 Wh battery. The quality lighting that it offers brings a non-negligible comfort to the users of the bus stop. The lighting provides a sense of security for users waiting for public transport, and facilitates the work of the bus driver, who can easily see people at the bus stop. This lamp is triggered at dusk to illuminate in full power for three hours, before switching to lowering mode to 5% during the rest of the night. The two hours before dawn, the solar street lamp returns to full power before going out for the day. A light failure is scheduled from 11:00 PM to 05:00 AM, during which time the bus stop is not frequented. The choice of the autonomous for this isolated bus stop has avoided heavy civil works (trench, track repair) and network installation. In traditional wired electrical solution, the connection to the electrical network would have been expensive. A concrete block was sufficient for anchoring to the ground. The integration of this energy-autonomous lighting solution has therefore facilitated installation work and reduced the investment cost. Public lighting powered by solar energy is also an ecological solution because it allows to limit the environmental impacts by offering an alternative to the consumption of fossil and polluting energies. In addition, the operation of these solar street lamp post does not involve any electric subscription to the energy supplier, and thus allows to limit expenses.
