Solar-powered street lamp

Solar-powered street lighting is an excellent alternative to conventional lighting. Autonomous lighting helps to reduce the energy bills for local authorities, while reducing the ecological impact of night-time lighting. Installing a solar streetlight is also less expensive and faster.

It is particularly true in areas requiring significant electrical connection work. Choosing an autonomous streetlight motorways, for example, is an ideal solution. But street and road lighting require specific study. The right level of illumination, the right uniformity and a low level of glare need to be determined to ensure the safety of users.

What type of lighting for a solar-powered streetlight ?

  • Recommended average lighting level : from 7,5 to 15 lux
  • Colour temperature: 3000 K maximum for the best luminous efficiency. A temperature between 220K and 2700K is also recommended for greater respect of biodiversity.

Which programme ?

Depending on the traffic levels, the lighting can be dimmed or even switched off for part of the night.

The option that makes the difference

The NOVCOM Z module, designed by Novéa Energies is fixed to a Zhaga base placed on the luminaire or the solar panel. It enables to monitor the streetlight at the bottom of the mast via Bluethooth® and the NOVEA LINK application. It can also be used to add our communicating motion detection system NOVMOOV and, with additional equipment, remote management system of the streetlights with SEVⓔ CONNECT.
