Novéa Energies’ street lights illuminate an expressway interchange in Abidjan (Ivory Coast)

The Macaci interchange, on the Abobo’s expressway was brought into service in October 2023 to relieve traffic congestion at this strategic crossroad. Novéa Energies solution were chosen to make the roads safe at night.

A major work of art

The construction of the aerial interchange began in 2022 and was completed the end of  2023. The 245-metre-long structure, with a total width of 16,30 metre is equipped with 2×2 traffic lanes to ease the flow of people of goods in and around Abobo. This construction is part of a larger project demonstrating the Ivorian Government’s commitment to providing user with a high-quality road network.

Autonomous solar lighting secures the interchange

In terms of lighting, Novéa Energies solar-powered street lights were selected to provide safety for this new stretch of road at night: the 25 Combi Top 5+ dual-lamp unit light the lanes from dusk to dawn with a reduction in brightness in the middle of the night when traffic is lighter.

This dimming mode provides appropriate lighting for users a and limits light pollution.

This project, from design to installation was managed by the GROUPE RAGNI subsidiary in Ivory Coast. A success that opens new opportunities for the subsidiary.
