Zico square in Mayotte now lit by solar street lights

Four COMBI TOP 2 street lights were installed on ZICO Square, at Labattoir Commune on Petite Terre Island in the Mayotte Department (976). The lighting provided by these lampposts ensures the comfort and safety of users of the place at dusk and allow residents to enjoy living together after dark.

These four COMBI TOP 2 are equipped with a solar photovoltaic panel of 100 Wp positioned at the top of the mast, and a battery (stored under the solar panel) of 345 Wh. The Ragni luminaires that equip these lamp posts, with a fire height of 4 meters, are Griff S. The color chosen for these sets is the RAL 9010, pure white.

The streetlights light up in full power for five hours after dusk, then they switch to lowering mode to ensure the marking of the place throughout the night, thanks to a 50% dimming mode.
The four Novea solar street lights ensure the comfort and safety of the inhabitants of the neighborhood. The square Zico in Labattoir is equipped with benches encouraging to live together and conviviality. Previously, this place was no longer occupied at dusk, thanks to the light provided by the four autonomous lampposts Novea, the population can extend its daily activities and continue to frequent this place without fear. In this sense, public lighting is a real vector of social link.

The autonomous lighting solution was the most adapted to this place, because its installation did not require to carry out heavy work (trench, repair of way …) contrary to the traditional lighting connected network, but only a massive concrete for its anchoring on the ground. In addition, no subscription to an electricity supplier is required.
The solar autonomous also has an ecological advantage, because it is an alternative solution to the consumption of fossil fuels, which limits the environmental impacts of public lighting.

The Novea Energies solar streetlights are equipped with batteries Endurance + Technology, developed after 6 years of research and development in partnership with the energy storage laboratory of C.E.A. (Commission of Atomic Energy) of Grenoble. Our Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries offer the longest life of the market, (more than 22 years in the limit of an overall capacity loss of 20%), which means less component replacement, so less production and waste management and thus a limited impact on the environment.

The Novea Energies streetlights are EN40 approved, and perfectly sized for cyclone zones such as Mayotte. We realize a mechanical study which guarantees a safe installation of the lamppost and its maintenance in the time because the windy solar panel and its weight oblige us to study precisely the mechanical strength of the whole. We make calculation notes for masts and concrete blocks; taking into account the model of the solar streetlight, the geographical area and the nature of the soil; to validate the mechanical strength of the mast according to the wind zone of the installation site and its anchoring in the ground.
