In 2005, engineers, Jean-Pierre and Rudy Belliard came up with a prototype for an autonomous street light. Novéa Energies was born ! The Angers-based company is founded in April 2007 and is located at the heart of an innovative ecosystem, giving it access to industrial and scientific partners at the cutting edge of new technologies.
When it was founded, Novéa Energies was the only company in France and Europe dedicated to developing autonomous lighting systems for sites where access to the electricity grid was difficult. As a pioneer in this ground-breaking technology in the public lighting market, Novéa Energies has always worked to convince stakeholders of the relevance and reliability of solar lighting, through an educational and transparent approach.
Its close partnership with recognized French laboratories, initiated in 2011, has enabled it to design the most efficient and durable batteries on the solar lighting market while monitoring the latest technological development in the field.
In 2015, Novéa Energies in its full growth, combined its strengths with those of Ragni, a French manufacturer of public lighting luminaires whose expertise in the design and production of luminaires is recognized in France and abroad. This alliance has enabled to combine expertise in solar energy with the reliability of luminaires, giving to our clients a dual expertise. We offer high-performance, reliable and long-lasting solar lighting systems, and we will be with you at every step throughout your way to reasoned lighting.
Since its creation, Novéa Energies’ Research and Development department has won numerous awards for its innovations, rewarding its commitment to technological innovation in solar energy management: its close partnership with the CEA, a French laboratory based in Grenoble for the development of its batteries is the best illustration of this.
