Novéa commits itself with the LED charter

18/11/2019

The LED charter, developed by the lighting union, has become an essential tool for comparing and choosing reliable lighting fixtures while guaranteeing their performance and durability. The LED charter defines 20 objective and essential criteria to evaluate the quality and reliability of LED lighting fixtures.

As a manufacturer of autonomous solar street lighting systems, Novéa Énergies is a member of the Syndicat de l’éclairage, and is committed to providing a transparent and fair framework for the lighting sector by validating this LED charter.

Like the Lighting Union, the FDME (Federation of Electrical Equipment Distributors) pays particular attention to the quality and sincerity of the performance advertised for lighting (indoor and outdoor). The Federation appreciates the commitment of manufacturers to provide this information, and thus to offer better transparency of their offers, in order to establish the conditions for fair and responsible competition.

The LED Charter, which aims to become the reference tool for all representatives of the lighting sector, has been adopted and relayed by professionals in the distribution of electrical equipment.

The FDME recognizes the criteria of this as fundamental to an informed choice of the buyer, and undertakes to inform its members and encourage them to use this LED charter as an information and decision-making tool for their teams and partners.

Julien ARNAL, President of the Lighting Union, said: “The Lighting Union is pleased to see distributors sign up to the LED Charter approach, which will enable everyone to better identify sustainable lighting solutions that keep their promises.”
